1. Introduction

These Website Standard Terms and Conditions written on this webpage shall manage your use of this website (UXfolio). These Terms will be applied fully and affect to your use of UXfolio. By using UXfolio, you agreed to accept all terms and conditions written in here. You must not use UXfolio if you disagree with any of these Website Standard Terms and Conditions.

Minors or people below 18 years old are not allowed to use UXfolio.

2. Intellectual Property Rights

Other than the content you own, under these Terms, UXfolio LLC and/or its licensors own all the intellectual property rights and materials contained in UXfolio.

You are granted limited license only for purposes of viewing the material contained on UXfolio.

3. Restrictions

You are specifically restricted from all of the following

  • enabling or allowing others to use UXfolio with your login credentials

  • selling, sublicensing and/or otherwise commercializing any UXfolio material;

  • publicly performing and/or showing any UXfolio material;

  • using UXfolio in any way that is or may be damaging to UXfolio;

  • using UXfolio in any way that impacts user access to UXfolio;

  • using UXfolio contrary to applicable laws and regulations, or in any way may cause harm to UXfolio, or to any person or business entity;

  • engaging in any data mining, data harvesting, data extracting or any other similar activity in relation to UXfolio;

  • using UXfolio to engage in any advertising or marketing.

Certain areas of UXfolio are restricted from being access by you and UXfolio LLC may further restrict access by you to any areas of UXfolio, at any time, in absolute discretion. Any user ID and password you may have for UXfolio are confidential and you must maintain confidentiality as well.

4. Your Content

In these Website Standard Terms and Conditions, “Your Content” shall mean any audio, video, text, images or other material you choose to display on UXfolio. By adding Your Content publicly (on your pages or published projects) to your website hosted by UXfolio, you grant UXfolio LLC the right to reproduce, adapt, and display Your Content in advertising and marketing materials. This won't apply to content not visible publicly (e.g.: drafts or projects under password protection).

If you would like to withdrawn your consent to the use Your Content as outlined above, send a consent withdrawal request to [email protected].

Your Content must not contain any information or material for any activity which breaches any laws or regulations, infringes a third party’s rights or privacy or is contrary to any relevant standards or codes, including generally accepted community standards.

If suspicion arises about Your Content breaching these Terms, UXfolio LLC reserves the right to ban you from further use of UXfolio. Also, Your Content will be removed without notice and any Subscription Fees paid for it before will not be refunded.

To clarify, we use these rights to immediately delete sites that are used for phishing, scams, escorting services, pornography, etc.

UXfolio LLC reserves the right to remove any of Your Content from UXfolio at any time without notice.

5. No warranties

UXfolio is provided "as is", with all faults, and UXfolio LLC express no representations or warranties, of any kind related to UXfolio or the materials contained on UXfolio. Also, nothing contained on UXfolio shall be interpreted as advising you.

6. Limitation of liability

In no event shall UXfolio LLC, nor any of its officers, directors and employees, shall be held liable for anything arising out of or in any way connected with your use of UXfolio whether such liability is under contract. UXfolio LLC, including its officers, directors and employees shall not be held liable for any indirect, consequential or special liability arising out of or in any way related to your use of UXfolio.

7. Indemnification

You hereby indemnify to the fullest extent UXfolio LLC from and against any and/or all liabilities, costs, demands, causes of action, damages and expenses arising in any way related to your breach of any of the provisions of these Terms.

8. Severability

If any provision of these Terms is found to be invalid under any applicable law, such provisions shall be deleted without affecting the remaining provisions herein.

9. Variation of Terms

UXfolio LLC is permitted to revise these Terms at any time as it sees fit, and by using UXfolio you are expected to review these Terms on a regular basis.

10. Assignment

The UXfolio LLC is allowed to assign, transfer, and subcontract its rights and/or obligations under these Terms without any notification. However, you are not allowed to assign, transfer, or subcontract any of your rights and/or obligations under these Terms.

11. Entire Agreement

These Terms constitute the entire agreement between UXfolio LLC and you in relation to your use of UXfolio, and supersede all prior agreements and understandings.

12. Governing Law & Jurisdiction

These Terms and Conditions and Your use of this website and any dispute or claim arising from or in association with such matters shall be governed by and interpreted in accordance with the laws of Hungary and You agree to submit to the exclusive jurisdiction of the Hungarian courts.

UXfolio LLC reserve the right to bring proceedings against any party which is in breach of these Terms and Conditions ("defaulting party") in the courts of the location of the breach, the courts of the country of the defaulting party's residence at Our sole discretion.

13. Paid Subscription (Standard & Premium) User Terms

As long as you pay the fees stated for your UXfolio subscription plan (Subscription Fees), you may use our software (Software) as a service through the uxfol.io website on a non-exclusive and non-transferable basis, subject to the limitations set out in these terms (Subscription).

Your UXfolio subscription will continue month-to-month until terminated. Unless you cancel your subscription before your monthly billing date, you authorise us to charge your next month/year's subscription fee to your card.

We may change our subscription plans and the price of our subscriptions from time to time; however, any price changes or changes to our plans will apply to you no earlier than 30 days following notice to you. Any changes to your plan will be communicated to you 30 days in advance.

If a payment error occurs on your UXfolio account we will always aim to rectify this. We do not advise you file a dispute or chargeback with your card provider as as a result we will be forced to block access to your account and remove all your data for however long it takes for the bank to close your dispute.

14. Refund Policy

You may cancel your UXfolio subscription at any time for any reason, however, canceling your subscription does not automatically initiate a refund.

Within 3 days of your initial subscription, you can initiate a refund by sending a request to [email protected] and you will receive a full refund of the amount you paid.

Refund requests beyond the 3-day purchase window will be considered, at the sole discretion of UXfolio LLC, if you can demonstrate that the service was unavailable or not usable during the subscription period and you have made reasonable attempts to contact UXfolio LLC to resolve the issue.

Refunds are processed within 7 days and are made to the original form of payment used for purchase. All refunds are processed in USD and therefore the refund amount could differ from the amount originally paid in a different currency.

UXfolio Domain Terms


The following Terms and Conditions (Domain Terms) apply for the domain name registration services (Domain Services) that UXfolio provides to you. By using the Domain Services provided by UXfolio you consent to the Domain Terms. Some UXfolio subscription plans may include us registering a domain name or renewing your existing domain name (Domain Name) on your behalf. For the purpose of the acquisition and maintenance of domains, UXfolio serves only as an agent between you and the domain name service provider (Registrar), which will be Godaddy.com. All new registrations and renewals of domain name registrations will therefore also be subject to the terms and conditions contained in GoDaddy Legal Agreements ad Policies located here (GoDaddy Legal Agreements and Policies).

It is your responsibility to check that the domain name you wish to register does not violate the rights of any third party or breach applicable laws, regulations or rules. UXfolio may refuse the activation of a domain name until payment of the agreed fees for the registration services has been received. You acknowledge that there may be a delay before the configuration of your domain name propagates. UXfolio has no influence on the allocation of the domain name by the Registrar.

UXfolio can not guarantee that the requested domain names will be allocated to you nor that the domain name registrations will continue to renew. Any information we provide regarding domain availability is based on the data provided by the Registrar and only refers to the time that information is requested. The domain will not be allocated before its entry in the database of the Registrar.

Following the initial registration term of a domain name the registration will auto-renew for another term. You will be charged for auto-renewal on the applicable default renewal date before your domain expires. The domain name renewal date might differ from your UXfolio subscription plan renewal date. You can opt-out of auto-renewal by turning off the auto-renew option in your account settings before the auto-renewal takes effect. Each purchased domain is yours to keep if continue to pay the applicable fees.

Maintaining accurate credit card information is a necessary condition of maintaining your domain names. If your credit card information is not current, we will not renew your Domain Services and they may expire.

If domain name registration expires for non-payment, we will have the right, in our sole discretion, to:

  • (a) register and use the domain name for its own purpose;

  • (b) sell or transfer the domain name to a third party; or

  • (c) delete the domain name and allow it to be registered again.

You may transfer all domain names registered through UXfolio to another domain name service provider by following the instructions that we provide. However, you will not be eligible for a refund of registration fees paid to us for transferred domains. Should we, due to your failure or the part of the new domain name provider, be unable to make the domain transfer to your new domain name provider, we are entitled to have the canceled domain name deleted after the ongoing renewal cycle, and we will not be liable to you or any third party for such deletion.

If we are made a party to any legal action by virtue of one of your domain name registrations, you agree to be responsible for all of our costs and legal fees and to indemnify and hold us harmless from any action.

UXfolio AI Terms

Effective Date: April 2, 2025

1. Applicability and Scope

The following Terms and Conditions (“AI Terms”) apply for the AI-powered features (Case Study generator, Job Fit Checker) in UXfolio (“AI features”). The AI Terms are subject to and governed by the standard UXfolio Terms and Conditions between you (“you” or “your”) and UXfolio LLC d/b/a UXfolio (“UXfolio”). These Terms do not replace UXfolio’s standard Terms and conditions and Privacy Policy, which also continue to apply to your use of UXfolio, including the AI features.

2. Definitions

“AI Feature(s)”: Refers to the content generation capabilities that utilize OpenAI’s API, employing large language models or other machine learning/artificial intelligence techniques to generate text Output.

“AI Actions”: A generation performed by a user using one of the AI features in UXfolio.

“Input(s)”: Any data, content, or materials (including text prompts, parameters, tone, style, or format instructions) submitted by you to generate text Output.

“Output(s)”: The content generated by UXfolio’s AI Features in response to your Input.

3. Description of the AI Features

UXfolio’s AI Features use OpenAI’s API to generate text. The Output is based on the Input provided and is intended to assist in various text-based tasks. Due to the nature of AI, the generated text may not be error-free, complete, or up-to-date; you are solely responsible for verifying its accuracy and suitability.

4. User Limits and Usage

Trial users: During the 7-day free trial, you are entitled to a maximum of 2 AI actions per AI Feature.

Premium users: Premium users enjoy unlimited AI actions per AI Feature, subject to any reasonable usage limitations outlined in your subscription plan.

5. Use and Ownership of Input and Output

Ownership: You retain all ownership rights to the Input you provide and the text Output generated by the AI Features.

License Grant: By using the AI Features, you grant UXfolio a non-exclusive, perpetual, irrevocable, worldwide, royalty-free license to use your Input and Output solely for operating, maintaining, and improving the Service. UXfolio will take reasonable measures to remove direct identifiers when using this data for improvement purposes.

Similarity of Outputs: Due to the generative nature of AI, the text Output generated for you may be similar or identical to that provided to other customers.

6. Disclaimers and Warranties

As-Is Basis: The AI Features and the text Output are provided “as is” without any express or implied warranties, including warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, or non-infringement.

No Guarantee of Accuracy: UXfolio does not guarantee that the text Output will be accurate, complete, or suitable for any specific purpose. You are responsible for verifying the text’s accuracy and relevance.

Third-Party Content: UXfolio does not warrant that the text Output is free from third-party content or that it does not incorporate material subject to third-party intellectual property rights.

7. Restrictions on Use

You agree to use the AI Features only in compliance with all applicable laws and the terms of the Agreement. In particular, you shall not:

  • Use the AI Features, Inputs, or Outputs to infringe on any third-party intellectual property or other rights.

  • Utilize the AI Features, Inputs, or Outputs to develop, train, or improve any separate AI or machine learning models (except as expressly authorized under the Agreement).

  • Represent the AI-generated text as entirely original or solely human-generated, or claim that it has been endorsed or vetted by UXfolio.

  • Employ the AI Features for automated decision-making with significant legal or similarly impactful consequences without adequate human oversight.

  • Use the AI Features in any manner that is illegal, discriminatory, harassing, harmful, or unethical.

  • Generate spam, produce text for illegal activities, or use the AI Features in connection with electoral campaigns without compliance with applicable laws.

  • Use the Service in any way that violates the scope of the Agreement.

8. Third-Party Terms

UXfolio’s AI Features are powered by OpenAI’s API. By using these features, you acknowledge that your use is also subject to the terms and conditions imposed by OpenAI. Any additional terms required by OpenAI or other third-party providers, as listed on UXfolio’s third-party provider list, will be binding on you. UXfolio will notify you of such terms through announcements on its customer-facing website.


UXfolio Referral Program Terms


Please read these terms regarding the referral programme of UXfolio (the “Terms”). These Terms are subject to and governed by the standard UXfolio Terms and conditions between you (“you” or “your”) and UXfolio LLC d/b/a UXfolio (“UXfolio”). These Terms do not replace UXfolio’s standard Terms and conditions and Privacy Policy, which also continue to apply to your use of UXfolio, including the Program. Qualification for and participation in the Program (defined below) is subject to these Program Terms, and by participating in the Program, you are agreeing to these Terms. Capitalized terms used in this document but not defined herein shall have the meanings ascribed to them in the Terms and Conditions.

UXfolio, in its sole and absolute discretion, reserves the right to terminate, modify, add, end, suspend, or delete any of these Program Terms, the Program, benefits, offers, or credits, in whole or in part, at any time, with or without notice. Any changes or modifications will be effective immediately upon posting.

1. Introduction. These terms (“Terms”) apply to your access to and participation in UXfolio’s Referral Program (“Program”). The Program provides UXfolio account holders (“Referrers”) with the opportunity to receive credits for qualified referrals. UXfolio, in its sole and absolute discretion, reserves the right to terminate, modify, add, end, or delete any of these Terms, this Program, benefits, offers, or rewards, in whole or in part, at any time, including during the Program, with or without notice. Any changes or modifications will be effective immediately upon posting.

2. Program Timing. This Program and the Agreement shall be in effect so long as you are earning credits; however, UXfolio may terminate this Agreement or elect to end the Program at its sole discretion at any time, for any reason.

3. Benefits. Referrers may earn bill credits or other rewards or benefits, in an amount stated as part of the Program.

4. Description. To qualify for bill credits, Referrers must meet all of the following requirements: Have an active UXfolio account at all relevant times; invite other people by using their unique referral link; and adhere to the Terms and Conditions at all times.

  • 1.1. Those UXfolio users qualify as referrers who are currently on a UXfolio Premium plan or have been on a UXfolio Premium plan before. If you are a Free plan user, you may participate in the referral program by upgrading to a UXfolio Premium plan.Redemption of bill credits are contingent upon good payment history and compliance with all UXfolio terms of service, as determined in UXfolio’s sole discretion. Existing UXfolio users cannot refer themselves. UXfolio employees, vendors, contractors, and UXfolio partners are not eligible to participate in the Program. If doubts arise whether you are allowed to participate in the Program, reach out to our team via [email protected].

  • 1.2. To qualify as a Referee, you cannot have an existing UXfolio account. When you get referred to UXfolio, you must create a new account in order to receive the bill credits.

Members of UXfolio’s Educational Partnership program are not eligible to take part in the Referral program.

What constitutes a successful referral? The referrer must send their unique referral link to the referee. The referee must use the referral link to sign up to UXfolio. Once signed up, their referee discount will automatically be deducted from their bill. When the upgrade was successful, the referrer will get their reward automatically.

6. Other important Program terms:

  • Once a successful referral has been completed, the Referrer’s and the Referee’s bill credits will automatically be applied to the next monthly bill as a line item discount. If the Referrer earns more bill credits than there are charges on their next monthly plan invoice then all excess bill credits will roll over to the following month’s monthly plan invoice. This cycle will continue until all bill credits are expended or Referrer becomes ineligible.

  • Bill credits have no cash value and may only be redeemed as bill credits towards UXfolio plan costs. Referrers cannot receive a check, cash back, refund, or other forms of reimbursement for bill credit balances.

  • Referrers may combine this offer with their pre-existing discounts and promotions.

  • Other terms and conditions may apply to the Program promotion for Referees, as further detailed in the applicable promotional offer.

7. UXfolio will not be liable in the event of any change, suspension, or discontinuation of the Program. Promotional awards received through the Program may be taxable to the recipient. Participants in the Program should contact their tax advisor. Offers void where prohibited by law.

8. Any fraudulent submission or wrongful or fraudulent attempt by any person to obtain bill credits, benefits, or rewards, as determined by UXfolio in its sole discretion, shall give UXfolio the right to deny such request(s) and UXfolio reserves the right to suspend, or delete your account. Bill credits, rewards, and benefits cannot be sold, transferred, or assigned. Attempts to purchase, sell or transfer bill credits, rewards, and benefits in violation of these Terms may result in UXfolio suspending, deactivating, or terminating the account and voiding the bill credits, rewards, or benefits, at UXfolio's sole discretion.

9. Liability Limitations. UXfolio is not responsible for unintelligible, lost, late, damaged, incomplete submissions for interrupted or unavailable satellite, network, server, ISP, website, or other connections availability, accessibility or traffic congestion, miscommunications, failed computer, network, telephone, satellite or cable hardware or software or lines, or technical failure, or jumbled, scrambled, delayed or misdirected transmissions, computer hardware or software malfunctions, failures or difficulties, or other errors of any kind whether human, mechanical, electronic or network. UXfolio is not responsible for any incorrect or inaccurate information whether caused by users, tampering, hacking, or by any of the programming or equipment associated with or used in this Program, and assumes no responsibility for any errors, omission, deletion, interruption or delay in operation or transmission or communication line failure, theft or destruction or unauthorized site access. Any use of robotic, macro, automatic, programmed or like methods of attempting to participate in the Program will void all such requests and the participant shall forfeit his/her account. UXfolio is not responsible for any typographical errors in promotional materials or these Terms. UXfolio is not responsible for any personal injury or property damage or losses of any kind which may be sustained to user's or any other person's computer equipment resulting from participation in the Program. Some jurisdictions do not allow the limitation or exclusion of liability for incidental, consequential, or other damages; as a result, the above limitations or exclusions may not apply to you.
